By studying for a BA in Celtic Studies with us, you will be part of the oldest and largest Welsh Department in Wales. The Department’s active community of students and researchers share a vision: to promote a wider understanding of the Welsh language and the other Celtic languages, their history, their literature and their place in the modern world. The Department’s current undergraduates are among the founder members of the Association of Celtic Students of Ireland and Britain, which held its second annual conference in Aberystwyth in March 2014. The breadth of experience and expertise of our staff means that we can offer a wide range of engaging courses that will also prepare you for a rewarding career. The Department has experts in each of the Celtic languages and you will be taught in small friendly groups.
